I just bought some sako optilock rings and bases for my sako 85 grey wolf.
I get the jest of mounting them. Pretty self explanatory.
I have a couple of questions and need help with the following:
1. are there torque specs for the single screws mounting the rings to the bases?
2. are there torque specs for the single screws mounting the bases to the gun?
3. are there torque specs for 4 each screws mounting the upper half of rings to the bottom half of rings?
I cant find them anywhere.
Also, should I use any loctite on any of these screws?
I am mounting a swaro Z5 5-25x52 in low rings. Plenty of room.
Thanks for any help!
Do not lock tite anything....IMO.

I used to torque everything to spec but now I just snug everything up and be done with it. Works for me.

If you torque the ring screws be very careful because they are soft.

Dink
Just tighten tell they are snug, any more and you end up stripping or breaking a screw or damage a scope. I had a guy who mounted a scope for me on a Blaser strip a screw because he when so tight, and then lied about it. No real harm done, other than I don't shop his store any more since.
Thanks guys.
