I just noticed the standard bases supplied with Sako A7 rifles are made of alloy, so my question is. Who here has used either Warne or Leupold STEEL rings with the A7 ALLOY bases in the higher recoiling cals(300WSM, 300WM). Are the bases holding and mating well with the rings?
The easy option is Talley UL mounts but I am curious if they're holding wink

Thanks grin
FWIW, Browning A-Bolt bases fit the A7. That said, steel bases should be available and negate any fears.

True!

It even states on the Sako A7 WS, if these bases are to be used they will need to be "glued"..... LOL. Sako should of installed steel bases from the start and there would not be issues with owners damages/shifting their POA under recoil......... I will either go the way Sam O has gone. Talley UL mounts. These have never let me down, even under 375H&H recoil.
I would still like to hear from men that use the standard bases Sako supply and their thoughts/experiences with them.
Talley one piece light weights and never look back
