My experience with it was less than stellar....it was way slower than advertised.....I even used it in the same rifle that they claim in the ads....they said they would clock the same loads from the same lot #'s but never got back to me....If I remember correctly they said their range is at 7000'....I hunt between 1000' and 3500'....don't know if that would make that much difference.....bearit...

Air's thinner at higher altitues, so there's less resistance/drag on the bullet, enabling it to go faster and further.

That said, I don't know how much of a velocity reduction one might expect at a altitude loss of 6000 feet.

I got stuck with a broken rifle two weeks before a Bear hunt. They shipped promptly 35Whelen (225g accubond) for my "plan c" rifle. It worked. Full penetration. DRT. I never had a chance to chrono it as factory ammo is not something I generally use. I left the ammo with Phil Shoemaker's son Taj...maybe he got a chrono on it. The ammo was accurate, worked, quickly shipped. That is the only experience I've had with double tap.

I have purchased directly from DoubleTap in 375Ruger 270gr TSX and 325WSM 200gr TSX. Seemed to be great folks to deal with. I have not chronographed the loads. I have zero complaints regarding the accuracy.

My G30 Mcmillian in .338 Win Mag shooting their 250 grain CT's went into patterns. Probably 8 inches. Same rifle loved Barnes Vor-TX in the 225 TTSX. I don't blame Double Tap. They are easy to talk to, and ship immediately. Would certainly purchase from them again for another caliber.

My expierence with them was prompt fast service. 375 H&H 230 grain ammo, very accurate in my rifle.

139gr Scenar from my .260 Rem, very accurate.

I've used Double Tap 257 Roberts.

The 110 Accubond chronoed slower in a 26" Ruger No.1, 22" Ruger No.1A, and a 20" Ruger ultra light.

The 100 TTSX chronoed faster in all the same rifles as above, even the 20".

just my milage.

Never ordered any rifle ammo but have a bunch of 10mm. Great customer service.

I bought three boxes of it in 125 Grain NBT .300 Savage one day when I was cruising through pawn shops. I talked the guy down to $15 a box if I bought all three, thought it was worth that for the brass. I was looking for a light recoiling load that my daughter could use for Oklahoma whitetails.

The ammunition in a M700 Classic shoots around .75-1" for three rounds for me, a little larger for her. She's about shot all 60 rounds of it up so I better get to reloading something for her next year. She's also killed six deer in two years with that ammo. Closest being 75 yards and the longest being 260.

I don't buy much factory ammunition, I usually reload everything I own. However, I'm satisfied in how it shoots for my daughter. More importantly, my Daughter is very confident in the way her .300 Savage shoots with the ammunition.

I used some of their .257 Weatherby with 100 gr Barnes TTSXs. It was very accurate and higher velocity than the Weatherby factory ammo which is saying something.
