Hi,
I know there is not that many in use but does anybody know the thread pitch for the barrel on a Marlin MR7 bolt action.
And if a more common rifle barrel from another brand can be easily retro-fitted.

They coped the Winchester receiver but that might not mean the threads are the same.
Thank you Jimi

Hi Tikkanut, Yes, I have read that about the currant XL7 Marlin that uses a barrel nut like the Savage.
I,m referring to the first generation Mr7 that they produced in the late ninety's.
Kind of wish it was the later model It would be a lot easer to rebarrel. Jimi

Jimi99 - Question may have been posted on Marlin Owners.com site. When all else fails, the MARLIN factory may have that
info for you. Homesteader

Homesteader.
Thanks,
It might be the only way to find out.
I called them before to find out if my mr7 had micro grove rifling barrel. They needed the serial # to tell me it wasn't.
Since they have been taken over by Remington wonder if they can help anymore.
