Up for sale is a very nice Ithaca LSA 65 deluxe in a 243. Asking 875.00
Jay bird,

Welcome to the Fire. You might consider putting this ad in the classified section. Since you are new here, you should try to describe the rifle and include pics.

Welcome from here as well! There should be, about now, a flashing envelope on your screen, right next to "my stuff" in the tool bar here. This means that someone (me in this case) has sent you a personal message. I would like to talk about somehow trading you out of this rifle if it looks like one I had a couple of years ago. That one closely resembled a Miniature Weatherby MK V Deluxe.

Usually the short chamberings were in the M55, although I have seen reference to 65's in 308.

I've owned multiple examples of 55's and 65's.

I had a 65 Deluxe from '86 in the box with both Sako and Tikka logos on the box.

Daaang.....been looking for one of these for a while now. Looks like I'm late to the show.
My wife has an LSA 65 in 30-06 that I bought new in 1976. It has been an excellent rifle and has shot like all Tikkas or their clones shoot. We have both killed freezers full of meat with that one.

I liked it so much, I went out and bought a M65 Tikka in 30-06. A little nicer trim on the Tikka than the Ithaca, but they both shoot nice groups. The trigger is the jewel of the system.

As someone else said, the 243 should be a LSA55, unless it was rebarreled and is on a long action.

Good rifle -- should give years of service . . . . mine have.
Always wanted one of those....I should have bought one when they were begging 300 dollars for them..
I think I paid $320 for my LSA65 with a cheap Bushnell scope which I sold for 50 bucks. That was in 1976, I think. I picked up my Tikka M65 in 2006 for $575 never fired. Both of them shoot real well.
