Looking for a new 22-250 can't find one that really trips my trigger. Looking at a Savage. What are your thoughts? I have a 700 VS that I really like but need something lighter.
I tried a Sako 85,Ruger American,Remington LVSF. They all shot good just didn't fit like I wanted them too.
Thanks in advance

For several years I packed a Ruger 77V with a Harris bipod in the 22-250 that weighs in at 10.6#. 4 or 5 years ago I went looking for a lighter walkabout rifle in the same cartridge and purchased a Savage 16 Weather Warrior. Very pleased with the fit and handling. Right out of the box it demonstrated good accuracy with several hand load combinations.

It weighs 7.8# scoped with a 3X9 Leupold.

Just bought a Kimber Pro Varmint in 22-250. Haven't shot it yet but had the same rifle in 204 that shot great. Very nicely done varmint rig IMO.
i've got the .257 cal version of the .22-250 in a Model 16 WW that I'm really quite fond of. had to take the action of the stock to reduce the trigger pull when I got it, but thats the only adjustment I've made.
Thank you guys for the info

I have one in a 243 Win. and I like it. It shoots a tight group and is easy to pack.
