Has anyone used a set of quick release rings on the Ruger 77 integral mounts that you've been really pleased with? Specifically, I'm interested in a consistent return to zero.

I have used the Warne QD rings in the past and they worked well for me however the OEM rings are so easy to take on and off that they are all I use anymore.
They come with every new rifle and are so solid a mount, I have no need for any others. Of course I dont take them on and off alot, just as a means off backing up a scope in case of failure.

I've had great success so far with Alaska Arms rings.

Before you do anything, check the ones you have. In my experience with two Hawkeyes and a Number 1, two returned to zero and the other is very close. They tend to be different upon the first return, likely because of the tightness from the original installation.

After that, they became much more consistent. I found the best results by putting (slight) consistent rear, downward pressure on the scope as I tighten the mounts. Not farmer tight mind you, just snug.

I have used Warne QDs on a couple of No. 1s which use the same mounting system, and I would not hesitate to use them again.

I've also used the factory rings with good results. Not as quick, but a lot cheaper and I always keep a multi-tool handy anyway.

I used both the Warne QD rings and factory rings and both are equal IMO. Both return to "almost" zero. Just use the same amount of torque with the Ruger rings.
