Scott I just got back from a PD shoot and one of the rifles my pard was shooting was a 6.5 Creedmoor in the heavy Ruger. It was impressive....

That's cool. Stepdads shooting one in a american and friend got one of the cabelas vanguards a couple years ago. Real good round. I sorta went the other way from 250AI

The 6 wouldn't suck I'm thinking.

1-12" twist...........grin

6.5 Creedmoor is an amazing little bugger. Kills as good as they shoot too.

I'd like to see the entire rifle. Looks to be quite purdy....

Speaking about this rifle...

I gotta tell you, I am a big fan of the 6.5 Creedmoor. I've yet to shoot a head of game with it, but the cartridge is a pure pleasure to shoot, and the accuracy is very pleasing.

I just with there were lightweight options for the Creedmoor. It seems that everyone wants to build heavy target rifles for the cartridge.

I could be tickled with a Tikka T3 in the Creedmoor, or a 700 Mountain Rifle.

You never know after a man has been domesticated.
Posted By: huntsman22 Re: Bee Bate - 07/01/15
Steely, is it a predator in walnut?
Posted By: Steelhead Re: Bee Bate - 07/01/15
Negative, regular Hawkeye, standard barrel contour (24"), it was in the Ruger black plastic stock but I had a spare SA Walnut stock laying about.

Thought it looked pretty snappy...
Posted By: huntsman22 Re: Bee Bate - 07/01/15
That it do......
Posted By: huntsman22 Re: Bee Bate - 07/01/15
bet it shoots, too.....

Love the rifle, like the red/white/blue motif...not sure about starting geraniums in urine specimens............
Posted By: TexasPhotog Re: Bee Bate - 07/03/15
That's a great looking rifle in a sweet cartridge. I hope it shoots as good as it looks.

Good looking rifle Scott. What are you headed out of the gate with? It's usually more difficult to find something that doesn't work than does from what I've seen so far.
Posted By: GeoW Re: Bee Bate - 07/03/15
Think I made a big mistake when I didn't buy one when I had a chance.
Posted By: WhelenAway Re: Bee Bate - 07/22/15
SH . . . how are you liking it?

I been thinking I need one for a while now.
Posted By: Steelhead Re: Bee Bate - 07/23/15
The coolest day in the last several weeks has be 96. I'll not be doing much shooting till things cool off.
Posted By: deflave Re: Bee Bate - 07/23/15
Nice rifle SH.

Did you buy it new or used?

I've been wanting a 6.5 Creed. I think the 250 Savage case is the best of them all.

It do indeed. I periodically lust over those stainless/wanut RSIs and thought they missed a good bet by not making them in 6.5 CR or even Swede. Even with the short barrel, they'd be great deer rifles.

If I ever have to start over, the 6.5CR would likely be all I'll need.
Posted By: Steelhead Re: Bee Bate - 07/23/15
Yeah, those little SS RSIs are kind of nice I guess.

Last week when I was in the Buda Cabalas (gun library), the had a ruger international in 250-3000. I think they wanted a little over 1000 dollars.
Posted By: Pappy348 Re: Bee Bate - 07/23/15
I did manage to snag one, but it was a .22.

You're risking public shame and ridicule by posting pics of a stainless rifle and rings with a black scope. Consider repenting.
