Does anyone know when the Vanguard/1500 went to 1:9" twist in their .223 rifles? When they swapped to S2? or after?

Thanks in advance.

oh well ... I'll email them.
Last year, I contacted Weatherby and got the serial number for the 223 Vanguard split:

Those above VB084281 are 1-9" ROT, those below are 1-12" ROT.
Is that when they went to the S2 with the 2-stage trigger, or are the two things unrelated?
the two are unrelated. I have a S2 in the 15000 range in 223. with 69's will NOT hit paper @ 100. According the Weatherby the older ones were 1:14" twist.

"Hi George,

Thank you for contacting Weatherby. We changed from a 1-14" twist to 1-9" twist starting with serial # VB084281. All other serial # prefixes V, VX, VS, etc. will be the 1-14" twist.

Thank you,"

BUT ... I asked about rebarreling services and they said they'd knock 25% off the price to get 1:9" barrel installed. $240 for a CM & $320 for SS (of course I have SS.) $600 for Pac-Nor (plus shipping. But I could get a 1:8 or 1:7" too. I don't really want to shoot more than 69's through this rifle. All three of my AR's love 69's.
All I know is what the guy from Weatherby told me, those 223s above VB084281 have 1-9" ROT barrels while those 223s below that SN have 1-12" ROT barrels.
