How long has Kimber been advertising this MOA accuracy on their website? LGS has one in 223 and it would be nice to know if it has a manufacturing date after they stated this.

About the time the trigger guard changed from stainless and they started installing the "shiny" trigger.I don't think it's a serial number change specific thing.

I do know they shipped us a on of MOA hang tags for existing inventory...

Kimber isn't saying anything new. From their website:

"Kimber rifles are designed to be capable of shooting a 3-shot group of .99” or less at 100 yards by a highly skilled and qualified shooter using factory ammunition."

Designed...like an engineering print?

By a highly skilled and qualified shooter...I wonder what kind of "qualification" one would need to complete to be this highly skilled shooter.

I don't have anything against Kimber, from what others have posted they make a good rifle, sometimes they need a little tinkering. But I don't read it as an accuracy guarantee.

Gotcha. I bet if you snag that 223 it'll be a shooter. You might need to go through SAS's recommended mods/checks for it.

Yeah... I also did not believe you could cashier the guarantee, but felt they had come to realize that they had some accuracy issues with some of their past production and perhaps they may have changed-up their QC process. However, sending MOA hang tags to vendors for old inventory, strikes me as a hell of a lot more marketing than any real effort in improving their QC. CP.

I do believe they've addressed a couple of issues. I've ton a few apart to look. All the bottom tabs on the mag boxes are shiny. They used to be blued like the rest of the mag box. That tells me they've ground them down a little. The front action screw appears to be a little shorter as well.

I don't know exactly what they've done, but I do think QC has been improved. I truly believe they're focusing on consistency.

Cool-good to know... I am still committed to try another, and if it will shoot close to my 84L 06, I'll be a happy guy.

I had an early wood stocked Kimber WSM that was a little inconsistent--probably could have solved the inconsistency but moved on instead. The four or five I have played with in the last 2-3 years have all been Montanas and consistently sub MOA with most loads and handle great. I really like these rifles.
