I was wondering if anyone has one? Just curious on how it shoots. Also curious if it is a decent rifle for the price.

Must be half decent to make a budget rifle in 338 WM and 375 Ruger.

Just received a new Mossberg Patriot in 7mm-08. I am well pleased with fit and finish. All screws including weaver bases were spec tight. The walnut stock reminds me of the older Winchester 70. The adjustable trigger is very easy to adjust. I set it for 3# pull for hunting. It came from the factory set at 4 1/2#. The barrel does not come close to touching the sides of stock.
In measuring COL for reloading Hornady 154 gr SST bullets, I find the max col for this bullet in my rifle is 2.822. This is slightly longer than reload specs from most data sources.
Accuracy is yet to be determined.

I have found the combination that satisfies the accuracy for my Mossberg Patriot 7mm-08. H380 with Hornady 154sst bullets and now grouping around 1 1/4" at 100 yards.
By comparison imr4064 with the same bullets yields about 2 1/4' groups.
I am confident group sizes can still be reduced but I have the hunting combination that satisfies me for woods hunting.
