CZ Bolt Issues - 04/11/16
Got a new CZ 527 Varmint in .204 Ruger over the weekend. Beautiful rifle, but I have a couple of bolt issues that I didn't expect from CZ. First, there were a lot of tool marks on the bolt raceways and on the lugs. I lapped and polished both and bolt operates much more smoothly.
The second issue is more complex (I think.) When the bolt is not in battery, it has a lot of play up and down and side to side. If it's opened or closed with any side pressure (hard not to do,) it cocks to the side and locks up. It takes 2 or 3 jiggles to open or close it.
Has anyone else had this problem? What have you done about it? Is it something I'm doing? I'd appreciate any help I can get on this.
