I purchased a 270w 84L a couple of weeks ago. Mounted a 6x36 with dots on it.
Tried the load for my other 270 1.5".
Measured to the lands and loaded up 9, so so.
Loaded 9 more 1 looked pretty good but wind was blowing pretty strong.
Loaded 9 more around this length last 6. 3 into .675", 3 a little longer 3 into .498" DONE will load some more to confirm but I'm there.
H 4831 and 130 Partitions.
I have an 8400 that will do .551". They are the [bleep].
Junk! I will take that rifle off your hands to save you all the frustration.
Why you stopping? Looks like you were on a roll. Another bump out and you might have shot .450".
Your problem isn't the Kimber, it's the Leupold making those huge groups.
You should correct the title of your topic.
thank you

You are a stupid old man.
Hell of a good deal here. If I didn't have a good 270, I'd be all over this one:
Good deal on kimber montana 270
Rifle shoots better than my Sako.
Yep, you got a lousy one there. (grin)
Jealous? Or are you just being a dick?
I have never owned a Kimber that did not shoot when I did my part.
Same rifle and scope and same results with same powder and 130TSX.
I don't own a Kimber, but I think they are a great company. Hopefully one day I'll pick up one of their Adirondacks...looks like a fun mtn gun.
.498 groups? I'll take those anytime I can get them, good job!
And some people say partitions don't shoot
