I saw one of these locally today. Heard of them but never have seen one. Wood stock, satin finish with white line spacer. Barrel appears to be free floated, factory Mauser but plate. High gloss bluing, scrolled floor plate but it was missing the factory irons.

I'm sure it's worth $300 but not sure if it's too good to pass on or not. No real need for a heavy 243 built on a long action.

then rechamber it to 6x57.

Wonder what twist?

I've always heard the 2000 and 3000 were good guns, made by Heym, with the only issue being a weak bolt stop - if you were prone to slamming it back.

IIRC, they were push feed.

Push feed, you are correct. Not a whole lot of info on them out there.

I watched a lefty 3000 in 243 online, and was a day short of pulling the trigger on it before someone else did.

Had a leupy IIc on it, and I was hoping the price got down to 4 bills. Seller was dropping it 25 every 4 cycles.

Someone else got it at 425.

I have some time with a Heym SR10, which is the same rifle. Nice package. Accurate rifles. Definitely worth $300 if you can justify it.
