My local pawn/sports shop has had two of these Marlin X7VH Varmint Rifles in this year and both sold relatively quickly.
They are a 26" heavy barreled kind of pleasing version of the savage Rifle it appears to me.
Anyway the 7 pound 12 ounce Marlin X7VH Rifles here abouts were priced at $310.00 (no sales tax in Montana!) and claim to have an adjustable trigger and comes with a Weaver style one piece scope ring base.
I tried the trigger on both of the Marlins that came through my local shop and they were fair.
According to Marlins web site this model comes only in 22-250 Remington or 308 Winchester.
My unlearned observation was that this was a good price indeed - depending on one main concern and that would be accuracy.
Often I know WHO buys various guns from the local shop but in these two cases I don't know and am asking if anyone out there in cyberland has first hand knowledge how these Marlin X7VH Rifles shoot?
Thanks in advance for any information.

my father inlaw just bout one and he shot at 300 yards and could cover 5 shots with a dime..that is the next gun on my list.
I've had one... they are supposedly having one in 223 available also according to a local shop...

definitely a good value on a very serviceable firearm.. and very accurate..

mine will see life as a switch barrel...
Trophytaker308: Wow! That is some excellent shooting.
I may just have to add one of these to my arsenal - I am again impressed with the price and the feel of these Rifles.

Seafire: I very much appreciate your input as well.
I have not seen one as yet in 223 but that would be a good addition to the Marlin folks line.

By the way did Remington (or someone?) buy the marlin Company?
I keep hearing rumors of this.

Thanks again guys.
