Took my 223 Rem parts gun to the orchard again today.
Killed 16 chucks from 70 yards out to 291 yards. The big bastid was at 246 yards.
The last picture was at 291, he only gave me a head/ neck shot, so I shot him in the neck.

nice what ammo or load did you use.
....... and which suppressor?
HSM 55 grain sp 223 Remington. Gemtec M-4 can.
I normally run my reloads, but I had a box floating around in the truck.
That IS a big 'ol rockchuck!
How are you liking the Gemtec M-4?
I currently only have a Sparrow SS and would like another can for 5.56/223.
Most of the reading and talking to others that use cans on 223s sate the report is still quite loud (i.e. hearing protection needed) unless using weak loads and/or going subsonic which would then defeat the purpose of the 223.
A 22 mag through my Sparrow, while much quieter than nonsuppressed still produces a good report (hearing safe) and I can only imagine a suppressed 223 would still have a hearing protection needed report.

I digress, and yes, that is a pig of a pig.
