I shot this giant big male sitting at 162 yards across a gullie.
I was calling this morning hoping to get a few in for a pal I took out. I had a few howlers about 45 min ealier, but none gave themselves out, we then moved 5 miles to this spot.
I had my pal set 30 yards to my left on a knoll overlooking 4 gullies and myself looking over the other ones from a hilltop edge.
I always keep telling him...GLASS GLASS GLASS!
Well he was not glassing & I was and saw this coyote sitting across the gullie looking at the antelope fawn wiggler. I do not hesitate and lay my Savage 6x45 on him and drop it on the hillcrest w/my 65g vmax load. Centered on chest no exit.
Asked my pal what he was waiting for it was right in front of him. Nope didnt see it he says. I say..maybe you should of been glassing eh?...hahaha
53" tail to nose, & 40lbs on the scale, great coat & it will be getting tanned. My biggest ever to date & Im smiling.

Super nice yote. Those westerns are quite abit lighter in color than our standard MN stock.

Nice dog.
Love those big barrel chested males... that boy is thick.

I can dig the 6x45 too... about as good a little coyote cartridge as there is. Keep saving antelope fawns!
Congrats.
