I have some on the way for my 22-250. Does anyone have any experience with them on Coyotes?

Best .224 bullet ever made (IMO) and they'll kill a Coyote dead enough.
Gonna be rough on fur most of the time, but few bullets aren't in a 250.
Luck

Works for me, thanks.

I'm shooting the 52 gr MK in my .223 Remington. Shot 2 coyotes with it and it was VERY fur-friendly

In the .22-250, you may want to reduce the velocity if you care about the fur

I don't care about the fur except on cats, from my experience it's tough not to tear up a cat. I've shot 50 gr V-Max's the last few years and they're great as far as killing, just gotta tinker I guess.

Agree with this^. Been shooting this bullet in my Sako .220AI for years and have racked up 600+ coyotes with it. If you hit bone, or the paunch, it will tear things up at 250 velocity. Frontal shots, most will stay inside. Broadside rib shots, they'll go through and leave 1 to 2" exits. Very accurate in my last three barrels....

Honestly I don't know how anybody can come to a conclusion on the 52 gr MK on a sample size that tiny Pat.

Get back out there and give us some REAL data.

LOL

No kidding, eh? I would ask for pics but I'm not sure this site could handle it. Think I'll order more now...

Holy crap that is a pile of yodel dogs!
How are they on prairie dogs? I have some in 223 left

Got a buddy that's used them on lots of game up to deer and he says he's very pleased with them. He's a hunting guide and uses them for culls, does, and the odd wounded buck. I believe some of his clients have used it as well with success.

Yes,

52 grain SMKs on dogs work just fine.

I have lots of experience with 53gr. MK's..My late father, my son and I have killed a lot of yotes and cats, they are deadly..we've also killed at least 150 whitetails over the last 20+ years with the same bullet [and never lost one, I know this cause we gutted and ate em'] I shoot em' in my .222 and 22-250AI and I agree maybe the best bullet ever made for .22 cal centerfires. [at least it's my favorite]

I would imagine the 52 gr Speer HPBT works about the same, huh? Pretty much the same bullet mas o menos?!

LOL

but what's the REAL 'total number'?

well now, let's see--time for some of that good ol' campfire math...

we take the number that was given-

and we add a quick zero-

put that total in your adding machine, and we multiply times 3-

now, armed with this super fancy/tidy numerical subtotal--we've only left to simply subtract a roman numeral "M"-

and, holy calculators--you've basically arrived--give or take a few...

(please note though, that the 52 sierra only weighed in on a tiny portion of those--however, in the spirit of good internet etiquette, it's best to stick with modest sampling frames of only one, or, better yet--zero...)
