I am sure you never even thought of doing this, but if you did want to pick up a live porcupine, this is how you do it...

I always just rolled them up in a carhartt coat....Pick out the quills later.....

I spent some time with JonS last week and have come to understand you a little better. Someday we will have to try the different ways of catching critters and see who has the most fun...
If I tried that I would probably get Karma-lized by the porcupine.
This guy is doing it all wrong, methinks....

Meet "SNICKERS" the moslty sorta freindly porcupine!

How to pick up a live porky, VERY CAREFULLY
Which begs the question; Why would anyone want to?

Kind of one of those "Hold my beer and watch this"
The ones I caught were for some hunters from texas. They had never seen the likes before, and wanted a couple to take home with them. The idea was to breed them to armadillos, and eventually have an income from selling the pork-a-dillo pups to pet shops. I never did hear how that all panned out.....
That looked like a hell of a good way to get bit, BAD!-Muddy
Any day you don't learn something new is a day wasted. Thanks Shrapnel.

I forgot to ask, where the hell did you learn that?
