Thought I'd rub it in to you guys that the fianc and I are off to kill some gophers. It you are lucky the shooting will be slow and I will have time to take some kill pictures but don't hold your breath.

You still have gophers up? ours are in hibernation and or in grass too high to see them. Quit shooting weeks ago. Madly jealous here.

Laker: Except for the rare sighting - as of the last several days the Gophers here at 5,400' are all down for the year!
Their summer hibernation is actually called "estivation" and is rare among animals on earth as it changes to hibernation come winter time!
Gonna miss the little Varmints til next March!
They are a worthy and prolific Varmint target.

They are all out of the heat here too. There is still one gopher on the driveway that comes out when it's cool, but I never see it when I've got a rifle. If he lived through all my assaults on them this year, I might just let him live. Smart little bugger

Shooting wasn't as good as this spring but did manage to go through almost 100 rounds of hmr. Got lucky and the fiances grandpa had some of his second cutting knocked down so we got some shooting in

Laker: I am sure happy you got enough shooting to make it worth the while - good for you's two!
At what elevation or in vague generalities what part of the world were you at for the Hunt?
TIA.
