Anybody use this stuff loaded with the V-Max? Specifically in .222 and .223?

Yes I use a ton of the 223. It shoots great in all my 233's. The 50gr v-max shoots considerably better than the 40gr. I only buy the 50gr now. I think it's a great deal when I don't feel like reloading 1000's of 223. I use it for gophers exclusively. It shoots as good as reloads in many rifles. I would 100% recommend it. I have shot a few different lots and it's all been good. When it goes in sale for $20/per 50 I usually buy 500-1000.
Pretty curious about the 222 myself but haven't yet tried it. I like the 50 round boxes on the 223. The 222 only come in 20's. I plan on trying some
Of the 222 ammo this spring.

flave,

SAS highly recommended the .223 50 grain version to me and a buddy. He was right....

Trav,

I was running some of it thru the Howa Mini...

just the cheap generic, 55 gr FMJ....

it still gave me bugholes...

so a V Max had to be much better....

40 gr V-Max .223 stuff shot good for me.

The 50 grain VMax 223 shoots good in my bolt guns, but not as good as the more or less equally priced Australian Outback 55 grain Sierra.

Here's a few of the 50 grain Vmax loads outta the RAR-P.... they shoot like a champ outta the cheap Ruger.

I have shot both the 40 gr and 50 gr Fiocchi V-Max loads in a couple of AR's and bolt guns and they ran fine. The 40 gr load even chronographed at the factory velocity rating out of my 26" barrel Remington 700SPS Varmint: 3650 fps. (They ran 3167 out of a 16" S&W M&P 15 Sport). I like it well enough that I have about 2500 rounds of the 40 gr on hand.

You guys weren't kidding.

Shoots extremely well. Very impressed. Thanks for all the replies.

Either the 40 or 50 grain vmax variants is very good ammo in a variety of my or friend's rifles. This coyote lost her mind over a 40 grain "ping-pong" ball from Fiocchi.

$19.99 a box... I just grabbed a couple boxes....

Had a ball last Friday watching my 7 and 9 year old sons pound steel out to 400 running these rounds. Something uber fun about a suppressed .223...

Yep

Travis,

I shot some Fiocchi with the 50 grain Vmax in two different 222's and it grouped under 1" in both. Good stuff for a factory load.

Good to know guys. Thanks again.

Shot quite a bit of the Fiocchi 223, 50gr VMax stuff out of a number of different rifles with MOA or better results out of each.
At one time I had 3 or 4 case of it. Working on the last case now, but most of that has been used to fire-form 223AI cases. Not sure if it holds true with the current production 223/50gr V-Max rounds, but all of the stuff I have had to this point had annealed case necks.

My son-in-law and I just bought a 1,000 round case of Fiocchi 50 grain V max, and split it.

It works GREAT through my AR 15, and is accurate.

From 30 yards it will put 5 shots into 1/2" with a red dot sight.

With my 64 year old eyes this is about as well as I can shoot with a red dot sight.

It sure blows up Grapfruit well! (GRIN!)
