This coyote, a good sized male, came to within 7 feet of the call before a bullet stopped him! He had missile lock!

After the day's hunt, most of the snow had melted and the river came up from a trickle to a torrent. It doesn't look like much but it was running at 70,000 Cu Ft/ Min. I don't think we would have made it across. It was a long way around!

Gotta love Fox Pro...
Had this one barking at my decoy about as close Saturday morning at first light. (turned the caller on too early) Finally could make him out and shot his mouth off for shooting his mouth off.

Great looking country Dennis.

I had one stick his nose in a speaker in a Johnny Stewart caller a few years ago.
Seems these days they are a lot harder to call though.

I've had foxes do it but never a coyote!

I've had them land in my lap while using hand calls. Had one come thru a bush at me with his mouth wide open. Fireball killed him point blank!

Going around rather than across indicates genuine experience based judgement. " it didn't look like much" precedes many drownings in the desert. I love being in the desert when it is not too hot.
