Last Saturday my son sent me this picture then called me. 4 out of the 6 were doubles in 2 different trees. Trapper has always given a few shakes of the knocked out squirrel and then went back to hunting. Both of the doubles my son said he went back to treeing. My son had to give a good look over to find the 2nd ones. He said he watched a few others scooting into the den as he was walking up to the tree. Trapper turned 13yrs old back in November. My son got Trapper as a pup at about 8wks old. They've walked a pile of miles together!
As a cool bonus, my son caught a good look at a nice bobcat as it ran into a ground hole. Then Trapper caught the wind and he let him bay for a bit. My son said looking in the hole, all he could see was the front paws.

My DIL sent my wife this picture later in the day. Their 2yr old daughter loves to go down to the kennel to say hi to and pet Trapper. So of course she had to help daddy put Trapper back in the kennel after the hunt.
Don't get much better than that!!!

Thank y'all for letting me share.

Thank you fellows!

There's definitely something to keeping them in the woods hunting and you won't have to hunt for them later.

With a wife and 2 kids now, he isn't in the woods as much as he use to be. But every year he mentions now that deer season is over it's time to start knocking em out.

Thanks again,

R.D.
