Does anyone have any (first hand) knowledge (good or bad) of "SMOKLESS MUZZLELOADING INC" AKA "Dewitte Tool & Die Co." they make smokeless barrels for T/C Encore & a few other single shot guns . How do they shoot ? Have you had problems with their barrels? Customer service? I like my Encore & Triumph but the down side is the smoke after the shot. Or do you know of any other companies the make smokeless barrels for Encores. THANKS FOR ANY HELP
Well yes, TC make a zillion barrels for both in both "stock" calibers as well as about anything you would like from the custom shop. IME they are all very accurate.

As per always, you missed the question by a mile oldman.
i'm at work so i can't see if the barrel i have is stamped with the maker. i had a smokeless muzzleloader barrel made for my encore several years ago but do not remember who made the barrel. the barrel is accurate and it was delivered in a timely fashion. i asked for the thimbles to be installed on the barrel for a ramrod insted of carring a fold up rod.it came with a sheet of load data. i never had a problem with it so i can not speak to the value of their customer service.
Try these guys.

curlewjimmy,
my barrel is the one you reference in your opening question. it is accurate and i have never had any issues with it.
Thanks for your help . I ordered a smokeless barrel today from Smokeless Muzzelloading Inc
Would like to hear some follow up on it when you recieve the barrel, have thought about that barrel myself. I like the ergonomics of my Encore more than the Savage that I have, but really like the convenience of the smokeless.

I have been contemplating getting a Savage but if I can get a smokeless barrel for my T/C Pro Hunter, I'd be tickled.

And I can so I ordered one.

What do they run? Been thinking of one myself.
Very interesting.
If you go to the link to their website, you'll see they are charging $350 but the price is now $450 for a finished barrel (unless I'm just one of those lucky guys "they see coming" grin). They get their blanks from Douglas; no SS, only moly- barrels, 28" long. But no cleaning (meaning normal smokeless powder cleaning) and they are getting 2500+ fps with a saboted 250-gr bullet using powders you might for heavy handgun loads; i.e., H110, etc. I'm not into chasing velocity but I am for less cleaning and that's my motivation.

Edited to add they make barrels to fit any Encore.
