Anyone shooting this combo? Have read that some muzzleloaders don't like to ignite this powder reliably. Was thinking of swapping the breechplug out to the power-stem breechplug that Knight offered. Any thoughts?
Just bought a disc extreme elite and was thinking of giving this powder a try.
I have a Knight long range hunter, which is built around the extreme breechplug. To answer your question, yes you can shoot BH 209 with this set up. I was shooting it with the original bare 209 primer plug, and that worked pretty well, but got the Lehigh conversion that uses a screw out / replacable vent liner to increase the flame reaching the powder.

It should work well for your rifle and BH 209.

If Knight is making one that works better, I am not aware of it.
I & the partner have shot B209 in 'Original'(orange), & 'Extreme'(red) disc'ed Knights with no problems. We've used CCIM primers.

I now have tested the Gen II Lehigh breech plug for a Knight and that is what I'm going with this Fall. I saw a review of the reported 'new' Knight. This Lehigh BP seems to have many of the benefits of that new BP optimized for B209, check out the Lehigh conversion BP.
My Knight ingnites BH209 quite well with regular Win209s and the std extreme breech plug. No worries.

Me thinks I will go the Lehigh route....Thanks guys!
