Got this last friday, ordered a scope on sunday and it came in today.

Its a $30 barska but the reviews were good on it so we bought one off ebay. The glass surprisingly is crystal clear. I was expecting blurry/glue around the lenses LOL. But honestly, for the price i think i stole it.

I sighted in the new V2 Accura with 100gr blackhorn209, w209 primers and .500" 300gr ballistic tip thor conicals. This rifle will be great out to 200 yards with 250 being max on our elk hunt.

When i first got the rifle the first thing i did was take it down to the frame and wash it down with Alcohol to remove the grease/oil the factory uses. After that i went and applied 3 coats of Gun Shield to the frame, trigger guard and barrel. I also soaked the firing pin, bushing and spring in the solution. Any fouling that gets on the rifle just wipes right off without a hint of stubbornness.

We'll sit back down on the bench with her tomorrow and see how she goes about grouping. Today was just a sight in with the new scope.

I put a 3-9x40 Barska on my 30-06 and don't really have a reason to swap it out. I've shot it out as far as 300 yards and over 300 rounds without a problem.

Picked up an Accura V2 last week, and finally got it scoped last night thanks to BB455's PM responses.

For those that may be considering this muzzleloader, be aware the holes that are D&T for the scope mount are VERY close together. 2-pc bases are out of the question. Best bet for a mount is the Durasight integral mount (P/N DS411B) available direct from Durasight, or thru Cabela's. Even with the Durasight mount the 'adjustment turret tower' is very close to the rear ring when the scope (Leupy 3-9x UltimateSlam from Cabela's Bargain Cave) is set for proper eye relief - YMMV slightly.

While I haven't shot it as a scoped outfit, I did get a chance to use it with the open sights. My tires eyes were able to produce 1 1/2" groups with 100gr BH209, Win209s, and Hornady 250gr sabotted SSTs at 100yds.
