Any of you guys know what the difference is between reenactor black powder and any of the "F" or cannon grades? Why is it cheaper? What is the down side?

I tried it once. Lots of smoke, but lighter on power and dirty.

So it is basically just 'smokey'? Is it suitable for cannon use?

If it was me. I'd use 1F.

Ive shot plenty of it from a 3 bander, but nothing else.
