When actually hunting how do you inline guys carry reloads with loose powder (Blackhorn 209), bullet & sabot and a 209 primer?

I carry powder charges in powder tubes in a buttstock cartridge carrier and have bullets/sabots and primers in a possibles bag.

I carry pre-measured powder charges in plastic tubes in my left coat pocket, the caps/primers in a capper and bullets in my right. If I'm using a lubed bullet I carry them in a tube also.

No different than my side locks, except my quickloads have a 209 primer slot on them. So the bullet goes in the bottom, powder in top. It seals and a 209 primer slips in a slot.

I used to use those, but there is no closed compartment for the powder, it communicates with where the bullet goes, so if you have any lube on your bullet, the powder sticks. So I switched to these:

Not only does it have a closed container for the powder, but there is a "bullet starter" of sorts. Pricey, but you only need a couple of them

That's the one I use too. The ones without a partition between the two "chambers" are pretty worthless IMO.

Great guy to deal with and the vials are very nice.

One for powder and one for the sabot, bullet and primer taped together. I'm thinking two primers in each vial just in case I fumble and drop one when or if I need a follow up shot. As a matter of fact I just got done weighing out and filling 12 vials with 105 grain charges of BH 209.

Yesterday I received a sample pack of crush rib sabots from Harvester that I need to try out. Kudos to John at Harvester. This is a great company to do business with.

+1 on Harvester. The crush ribs are great. I originally bought some at the Cabelas in Pa, but after trying them, I ordered 200 more direct. Fast shipping too.

One LGS has them for $12.00 per 50! I know times are tough, but come on!

I contacted Harvester to purchase a bag of 50 crush rib sabots but they wanted as much in shipping as the sabots. I told John that I wanted to try them out (hadn't yet) and he offered a sample pack.

If they give me the nudge in accuracy I'm hoping for then I'll give them my business and pay the shipping costs for a full bag.

The LGSs here in Colorado don't carry sabots since they're not legal for hunting in this state.

I just bought 20 of them, they were delivered yesterday.
Looks like they will have multiple uses.
