The synopsis says I can now shoot lead free copper conical bullets with a length less than twice the diameter. Before this year we had to use lead only. My question is who makes this bullet in a non-sabot configuration? Seems like it would need a concave base with thin walls to seal properly.

You would probably have to use the bullets without the plastic tip to shorten length. But still not sure if the length of all the bullets (with the rear bell) would be less than twice the diameter. As I recall, copper is lighter than lead so that would make them longer. Email the bullet maker and ask what the length of each bullet is, or bigblock can probably measure some for you.
colorado conical is less than twice the bores diameter. CO used to have that stupid, half assed law and so Terry started removing the tips to make them legal.

No over bore. You want 20-35lbs seating pressure. I custom size them myself and the PERFECT fit.

yes the 247 colorado conical is under 1" in over all length with the tip removed.

If you need more sample packs let me know. When I started shooting them in my NULA guys were generous enough to send me a bunch of bullets they had left over.
In Pa we used to have to use round balls only. Does anyone have a real reason why they make us use less effective bullets? I understand less effective weapons, but once the projectile touches fur I want to be as deadly and humane as possible.
Last I seen a round ball going into a the thorax, neck, or head of a animal causes about the same massive damage as a conical. Not sure what your asking Dillon?
Double lung shot deer usually ran off, no blood trail for 50-100 yds. Found them at 150-200 yards dead. If no snow tracking is often very hard and not successful. Sure I have left deer that we could not find. I about gave the whole thing up till I started to cheat and use other projectiles. The only advantage they gave was in finding the animal that was already shot. Now we can use about anything we want. Spine shot deer are not really even a topic, anything will kill them then. I thought my point was clear. If the only thing a more modern projectile really accomplishes is a quicker kill, then why outlaw it. Of course I am forgetting that I have to use an iron sighted flintlock, and most are not so limited.
If you shoot a 50 caliber round ball through both lungs of any deer you will encounter in PA at less than 75 yards (ethical range with a flinter and open sights)
it will die and bleed a lot.
If you are not an experienced bow hunter, you may have missed the spoor.
I don't know anyone I have hunted MZ in PA with to have ever lost a deer. (We still all use roundballs)
It is primitive hunting........ not trying to make a BP gun a 30-06.
