I bought this a long time ago and did not realize it was made in Spain

I try to buy American but it is difficult.
Anyhow Minnesota law has changed and anyone over 60 can use a scope now.
I am mounting a 4x and see how that works.
Anyone else shooting an Apex?

Great rifles! I had the Winchester X-150 and it was a superb shooter. The CVA line has come a long way since they introduced the Winchester line, but its still a solid shooter to this day.

I had one in .50 and liked it very much.
Good accuracy , long sight radius and a full length ram-rod.
I've never cared for the break action muzzleloaders with a ramrod the had to be extended and retracted.

I gave mine to a friend in need but still have a couple spare breech plugs, PM your address and they're yours.

Colodog,
Did you ever try lead bullets in it?
I have a Lee mold for round ball and Real bullets.

They recommend Powerbelt bullets which are very pricey IMO.

Maybe I will cast some bullets and try for myself since Powerbelts are about two dollars apiece.

harvester scopion pt gold and a black harvester crush rib sabot should do you very well and cheap too.
