My daughter and son in law were married in January and the kid seems to have his stuff together. He is really looking forward to hunting this fall. I have recently given him a very nice Remington 721 in 30 06 and now he says he can get the first weekend in December off to hunt black powder in Michigans's U.P. I'm looking for a nice Hawkin, Renegade, Great Plains or Deer Stalker. We run a traditional camp and hunt with Goex and round balls.

There are a bunch of $400 rifles out there but that's quite a bit more than I'm wanting to spend. I currently have a nice Filson jacket for trade in the classified section.

Check out the Willams Gunsight used gun section. They don't respond to email, but you can call and hopefully they'll answer questions about condition. They usually have a few and decent prices.
