Has anyone killed deer with these?

I haven't used the 300 grain ones, but have killed 8 deer, with the 200 and 250 grain ones, at distances of 10-150 yards. They were all one shot kills, with most dropping in their tracks, and none made it over 40 yards. They shot dead nuts accurate in anything I've tried them in, and typically are complete pass throughs. I have yet to recover one from a deer.

I certainly approve the 200 gr. 50/40-cal SSTs in blue sabots. They kill deer quickly and are fired with noticeably less recoil.

I'm using 90 grains Blackhorn 209 this hunting season, target splatters out to 150 yards.

Best bullet for dead right there, I am surprised more muzzle loader hunters don't use them.

I've been using the 250 grain Shockwaves w/Blackhorn 209 powder with great results, 5 deer with 5 shots. I may get some of the 200's and give them a try at the range. My daughters would probably appreciate the lower recoil.

I use the 300SW/50cal... only because I got a great deal on them at a store was closing.. Love'em. Pushing them with 100gr of BH209. Getting a little over 1800fps. I've shot many whitetail with them and only recovered the first one last year because it was a head on shot. Shot in the front chest, recovered the bullet behind the last rib under the skin, mushroomed great and retained 80+% (don't remember the exact weight). All of the others were pass through.

Went to the range today first time with Blackhorn and 200gr shockwaves. First three shots went into one hole at 100yds. Went to the 200yd bench put the next three into a 1 inch group. Best I have ever done out of the Encore. Clean up was a breeze needless to say I am very pleased with this load. I was shooting 84 grains weighed not volume this is blackhorn's max load and it is healthy but not all that bad.

I switched over from the shockwaves to Barnes TEZ much better in my opinion

Your bullet drop should have been a few inches less than with a comparable 250 gr bullet. In my 200 yard range shooting the 200 gr shockwave drops maybe 5-6 inches ( depending on charge) at 200 yards.

Hold the cross hair in the spine and get out your knife. FYI the bullet performance is as good at 200 yards as 100 yards.

Your 200 gr shock wave yard goups are very impressive...congratulations.

Just about a six inch drop. In the woods I hunt two hundred is a rare shot. I tuned the Encore with Mike Bellm's springs and oversize pin can't say anything but good about the results. My 22-250 and 25-06 barrels both showed marked improvement. Just the improvement in the trigger was well worth the effort. I was amazed with the results with the muzzle loader. Glad to hear your view on the two hundred grain shockwave I have read mixed reviews.
