In a .50 CVA when using .44 caliber bullets?
I'd get a sample pack from MMP and see what yours likes.

Don't have a CVA, but Harvester Crush Ribs work great for me with .45 cal bullets in my Knight. They make them for .44s too. Great company to deal with. I ordered a couple hundred sabots and when they came there were 6 of their PT Scorpion bullets w/sabots AND a ramrod tip that fits their pointy tips in the box as well. One of them is sitting in my barrel right now waiting for an opportunity.
Their website is having certificate issues so call them at (800) 922-6287 to be safe. They make sabots for about every combination you could want, except a .50 for .458 cal bullets.
That there's funny!
What's the rifle?
Harvester smooth green sabots
Hornady 250 grain in my Knight KP1

I didn't realize that was a sabot or 44cal or a CVA product. That is what the OP was asking about.
What brand sabot do you prefer....in a .50 CVA when using .44 caliber bullets?
I only use the .430 XTP bullet in 44-cal. They prefer the green Harvester Crush Rib sabot.

Go piss up a rope!!!
Wow, that was informative and so very helpful. I see reading comprehension is not your strong point.

My experience also. 240gr xtp's.
I've been using Knight sabots in 265gn since day one[inline].
My TC Thunderhawks both seem to like them. Started with just the lead hollowpoints and switched to jacketed HP's when they became legal in VA.
Think the bullets are made by Hornady?
