Here is the story my dumb a-- put 2 bullets in the gun and fired it, it has swelled the inside of the barrel about 1.5-2
inches above the end of the bridgeplug have shoot it after it happened, but since have put another barrel on,just to be on the safe side do i use it for a corner stob, also have a friend looking for a savage ml50 barrel
Not sure what a coner stob is, but if it doesn't involve power and bullets, yes the swollen barrel should be good for that.
You have to understand country spelling corrected corner
Check with Luke at
www.smokelessmz.com. Im sure he will know somebody with a 50cal take off or he can hook you up with a custom barrel.
I would not even bother with a factory barrel if i had to replace one. The aftermarket barrels are so much better. He stocks mostly 45s but can order you one in 50cal. My Savage barrel would never come close to a Douglas, Mcgowan or Pacnor and it was a pretty good one.
As overkill 45 said you should be able to find a stock take off barrel for next to nothing$. The aftermarket 45's are nice but it depends what type of hunting you are doing. If you need to reach out and touch something over 200 yds then go with a .45 if not the stock 50 will still be fine for you.
Dont have the funds for the custom barrel have made kills at 235 with my barrel till i screwed it up still looking
So, what the Hell was the question?
