Got a pretty good deal today on an NEF Huntsman 50x209, until I went to try to find primer carriers. I looked around for a replacement breech plug without much success from the internet. Any suggestions?
check the faqs on the G.B.O. site
Do you have a link for that?

Do you have a link for that? What's GBO?
What might be the chances of there being another breech-plug on the market somewhere that doesn't rely on the plastic primer carriers, or from a different manufacturer that would fit the threading?

1-800-638-7986 between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm EST M-F, You will need to know whether it is a 5/8" or 7/8" breech plug. The cost is around 35 bucks shipped to your door/mailbox , I'd ask for Bob who can help you out or direct you to someone who can"

If you decide not to invest, PM me. I have some carriers left over from converting my Sidekick to the Ben Hubbard plug. The Metrics Unlimited plug is cheaper than the others and is still a really good plug. I highly recommend getting one of the new plugs since they cut out the fouling that goes onto the face of the receiver and into the action. One of my friends had to send his rifle back to the factory to have the firing pin replaced. This was on a Huntsman clone by some company whose name escapes me at this time.
