As title says. Looking for a 45 closed breech for a project for next fall. Wolf seems good budget entry point. Did ti come in a 45?

Are the accura's / optimas much different?

Lastly, anyone have one of the above in 45 that they arent married to? Cosmetics not relevant so long as the first 18" from breech are in good shape.

I SURE WISH IT DID I LIKE T6HE 45 WITH A 1-20 TWIST OR 1-28
So if I want a closed breech .45 I am going to have to pony up more than a couple hundred bucks, huh?

I bought a used mag bolt for 245.00 in 45 cal good luck
45s don't interest me, unless they are fast twist like the 1:20.... or worst case scenario 1:24 twist.

If the twist is either 1:28 or 1:32, I'd rather have the 50-cal.

Goex I am looking for a closed breech 45 because I already have a lot of 45 bullets of various types for my main hunting rifle (yes, its 1:20).

I want a closed breech for very specific reasons (another time), and the 45 cal requirement is that I am phasing out my .50 cal shooting.

I'll be trimming the barrel back quite a bit to make a minimally legal length carbine. Closed breech for weather and further length reduction.

I dont want to allocate a lot of $$ for this purpose.

Traditions used to offer a 45cal 1-20 break action but that was a while ago. I think it was even available in stainless instead of being coated or plated. All other options for a 1-20 break action wont be very cheap. You would need to convert one of the lowerend 45-70s from CVA or a H&R. That will run you atleast $400
Back in pre-BH209 days, TC made some "long range" models of their nifty little in-lines in .45, lammy stocks and SS. Saw quite a few on close-out. Probably 1-28". Finding a 1-20 of any sort is gonna be tough.
T/C did make some 1-20s too but many were returned for barrel replacement to a 1-28. They had a large run of bad barrels. The Black Diamond XR 45 wasnt a break action though. It was made prior to the bad batch of break action 1-20s. XR stood for Extended Range and iirc it also had a longer barrel than the standard Black Diamond.

The Black Diamonds were great rifles.
That's the one!
