Managed to pull one out of the Brooks , the skeeters were [bleep] terrible. Saw several winterkill full curl rams. We are grateful to come away with one.
Congratulations ----
Job wheel done ---
Thx
WTG - a FC ram is on my bucket list.
How old did they call that? I am thinking 10? Hard to tell with all the base wrinkles. Neat bit of character.
They said 9 , looks like he either started and stopped in the middle, or had a real tough year. Im no sheep expert but they are awesome animals, no doubt.
I blew it up and have trouble with 9... could more easily go 11, IMO.
Is the sheep population on the Brooks range as bad as the reports I have been hearing? Did you see good numbers of lambs and Ewes? Find any winter kills? Thanks.

It's all so darned confusing sometimes.
What a regal and wonderful animal. Good on you and thanks for sharing, OP!
Kurt likes to be poked in the ribs sometimes! Though he admits a warm handshake sets him off!
congrats, I know how much work and sweat u went thru to get that beast!!
That's a magnificent ram! Hearty congrats, all around.
Surely there's a good story to be shared. Can you please pass it along?
That is so long as it doesn't involve a .270

A magnificent ram and a mighty fine beard.
Win/win. Congrats!
A very nice ram.......I suspect we are in for some drastic changes in sheep regulations. Drawing for all sheep tags?....five years between tags?.......two sheep per lifetime?

You just need to keep your hands where they can be seen.
Yes it is!! Congrats BCJR!
Speaking of sheep docb..........
Nice one for sure!! Congrats on a fine ram!! Looks like great country.
Well, damn. Here I was feeling all proud of myself for today scoring a defunct tundra motor with the parts I need to make my '84 40-hp OMC outboard functional again (starts on 3 pulls EDT! - its the swivel mount I needed) Only took 6 years of looking....
The caribou on the ATV run today were noticeably absent....
Darned nice ram.
Color me jealous.

Haha , that's my sheep "jihad" beard , wife told me I looked like a Islamic terrorist, laughed my assoff. We were surprised TSA didn't detain me!

Great lookin ram! Nice curl. Congrats, would live to hear the whole story...!
Congrats man! Nicely done.
Congratulations on the nice ram.
Thanks docdb , I really like your ram ,Best part about this hunt is my wife was with me. She tears it up climbing! She is doing another ironman race next year so she is going to try for a sheep in 2016. (her priority's are obviously screwed up
) The cool part of her being there is that she is 6 years cancer free now. She did a marathon during chemo , and is one of the toughest people I have ever met. We hiked ten miles out and then up around 2k feet to get this one, didnt phase her, She should have been a sheep guide.
That's great to hear! Here's to a life of cancer free! Oh, and nice ram.
BCJR
you bagged a trophy!
oh and your ram is nice too (grin)
please tell your missus we're ecstatic for her at our house. my lil woman is almost a year out of last treatment (next month) and doing well
cancer sucks
good women are a true blessing
Cancer has been a real mofo on my wifes side, she's lost 3 family members to it.
Happy for you, Randy and BCJR that your ladies put their foot up cancers azz!!

Pictures but no story? Come on now!
That is the trophy of a lifetime. How many days did you hunt?
Really nice ram with classic full curl! You are blessed to have a wife that shares your hunting passions! Great news that she is cancer free and saying a prayer that it continues.
Congrats to you for the sheep and wife!
