wish me luck

the end.
Good luck.
I'd say the game you are hunting for needs the luck. When you go for meat, that's a serious thing there. Stay safe. Bring something home.

Best of luck.
Have a safe, enjoyable, and productive trip,

Geno
Good luck Randy!

Jeff
Hmmmmm.......the whiskey is to be consumed at the camp not before....
Good luck Randy
Best of luck and shoot straight!!!
Me thinks the only luck you need is for it to fall nearer rather than further and I'll say a small prayer for no O heads to be involved.

(though Carolyn started to get tired of a few fire breaks dozed up years ago we had to-according to me- get over/around to look at a new area a bit....she did say they still were not as bad as the others... I did get a good question once when I missed my normal path a bit... and we had a session of the O's)
Still waiting to hear...........(hope he didn't get into "No Country for Old Men"............ "I" didn't see him there. grin )
8 days or so... news should be coming.

Hearing a bit of snow up in AK lately too. LOL.

We had heavy wet snow going back home on the 21st starting in TOK.

This was 25th AM where we were (which was the last day for most of the area around Fairbanks). It started to rain shortly thereafter. We heard lots of boats exiting shortly after this pic was taken. whistle
No moose for us this year. I did score big though. Gained a new hunting partner. It was a good trip.

Thats a good score!!!

Good luck!
well the luck wasn't with me this year. First time in 6 trips we've been to that area that we didn't bring a moose home.

actually luck was with me, we saw plenty of moose, what was missing was skill.

my pard blew a stalk on a 50 + incher and I made my own faux pas on a stalk as I ended up 100 yards to the west of the moose in tall brush and never saw him. He and shes of course saw and heard me.

had lots of little bulls around (well 4 anyway) that could've bit the dust if any one of them woulda been sporting three brow tines or had a fork on one side

highlight of the trip for me, was about to take a break from standing on spruce limbs (put on hippers and go stand on a ladder rung for an hour, you'll know exactly what I mean) when way out there MOOSEZILLA

my lord he looked like a big dark freight train. And he was on a mission goin somewhere in a hurry from my right to left. Finally I spied what he was after there was a moose 60+ just standing there watching him. Woo boy I sez I'm gonna see a dustup.

And I did, but not much of one. Big boy got to within 40 or so yards of pretty big boy in his own right and then profiled and raked.

Okay says 60 here I come and after 15-30 seconds of lockin up with Moosezilla here I go, he left the country and Zilla promptly claims the cow that was with him. It was hella cool even though my feet were hurting like hades by then.

in a safe spot, for my needs anyway, almost a mile of swamp and tussocks and it was too late in the day to go after them. Not that I would have earlier in the day. We'd glimpsed Zilla before but farther out with his harem.

Soooo long story short, thanks to our ineptitude I'll be out on a snowmachine later this winter looking for protein.

Don't wish me luck. Wish for me to pull head outa azz and get er done!
Goes like that sometimes as we all know.

Wishes for a quick sled hunt, and good meat!
Randy,

Do I have to bring you some moose meat?

Talk about Christmas tree hunting......man, this method is a good way to start writing checks that a fellow's body can't cash.....yow! (But it's like Christmas every time you go up and have a look. It sure made this old boy from the tundra feel like he was burglarizing the candy store!)
that's it prezactly Mark! the view is good but price of admission is steep.

I feel like I was trying out for the lead role in Tarzan
sounds like fun wish I was there Randy. I have a feeling eatables will be had on the snow go.
