Camera was pointing south instead of north. And where it's digging I had a falcon eating it's kill three days before this photo was taken.

Very cool. In almost 20 years I have seen 2. They are elusive critters!

In 4 decades I've seen three. This one cost me my moose tag a few years ago but taking one with a recurve is not very common.

They are SO cool! 45 years up here and I've almost seen a half dozen or so by the tracks. I have seen just one - at about 15 yards thru 9x binocs. It was a big one , looking back at me from his hind legs. A friend nailed its expression perfectly when he described it as "deciding whether, not if, it wanted to take me".
