Going to semi-retire and thinking about kicking around POW for a spell. Are there any "reasonable" lodgings (month to month terms) in/around any of the communities on the island?

All I'm able to find are tourist lodging for summer and of course rentals in Ketchikan.

Much obliged.

You could check with Misty Fitzpatrick in Coffman Cove. I'll be up there this summer on and off so if I can help you let me know. You could buy a travel trailer and open up more options. In either case best of luck to you, I love POW and plan on retiring there for at least halftime.

Thanks Ace.

Doesn't appear to be much on POW.

To the contrary FO, there are a lot of cabins on the island. However, many are rented at least a year in advance.
I have a friend that is building cabins in the Thorne Bay area. He will have the first completed by the end of the month. Might give him a call. Roger Longbotham 1-307-460-0498. Also try craigalaskacabins.com as well as knamichaels.wix.com/hollis-creek.
We do have a Prince of Wales Chamber of Commerace at
www.princeofwalescoc.org Their 2016 visitors guide is out, and has many cabins listed, which you can also see on their web.
