Headed to the Kenai for some combat fishing for reds. I'm there till Aug 1. Plan on a trip to homer for halibut. Can't wait for an apple fritter from the "Moose is Loose".

Now is your combat fishing between man and fish or like Michigan combat salmon fishing, between people?

well hell, i was living in socal and working in hollywood, but couldn't make it in porn . not tall enough(grin)

Bob,i didn't mean to hijack your thread, just sharing good memories of AK.
the combat fishing at that time on the willow was shoulder to shoulder for 150 yards. you got 4 minutes to land your catch then the lures started to hit the water.
there were some fights and a few shootings that year.

Deerstalker---Great photos. Hope your Dad got a king. Those have got to be some of your best memories, 84 and still out there fishing. Wish my Dad was still alive. I get a bigger charge watching my wife catch salmon than myself. I usually play net & filet boy.

We have access to little island. We know most of the other fishermen, so it's not bad. Still it's shoulder to shoulder. But when a fish is on everyone is nice. If Jean is there by herself, they will net & bonk for her.
