Kuiu is having a 30% off sale over the next four days and I plan on doing some gear shopping. Does anybody have any real world experience with their sleeping bags? My biggest worry is moisture which supposedly isn't an issue with the micro-treated down they use. I don't mind spending money on quality equipment but I also don't want to spend $500 just to end up wet and cold, or worse.
Well I did it. I ordered the 0 degree sleeping bag, Mountain tent and footprint, a pair of down pants and some meat bags. When I get home in January I'll fill some of those bags with wild hog meat and get a couple of camping/climbing trips in.
I have no experience with the bag. I did order some of the other gear from them to try out. Hopefully it is quality gear as I have heard from numerous people.

By the way. What do you do for a living? Your bus and arena?

Boy George?? Miranda lambert?? Trent reznor?? Dolly Parton?? Who are you? Lol
Profile says tour carpenter. wink
Ahh dang. Figured it was Justin bieber. Your carpenter, bet that is interesting
Yes, I'm a roadie. I travel with bands on tour assembling and tearing down the stage and set every show. I'm currently out with Trans Siberian Orchestra, my normal fall gig which causes me to miss out on a lot of hunting seasons. I tour with KISS throughout the rest of the year and set up for television and corporate shows in between. As far as working for "artists", and I use the term loosely, we refer to ourselves as a much of whores. We will work for anyone who will pay us the money, even if it is Justin Bieber. I try to enforce a "no hip-hop rule" whenever possible but if the money's right or it's a personal favor you do what you have to.

I'm personally impressed with the Yukon rain gear I purchased last year.

This message brought to you from a non-religious person working on a Christmas tour, who is originally from Michigan, "lives" in California, is typing this in a hotel room in Pennsylvania and hopes to live in Alaska someday. Cheers.
Interesting, didn't know they were offering game bags now. How new are these?
Stick 1330, where in Michigan are you originally from? A friends son does the same as you but there are probably alot of crews that set up for the "stars"! Have fun and get back to Alaska as much as possible, seems to be my motto the last few years. I would move if the better half would, but I can't get her any farther north than Kalkasa.

Be safe

North Adams, MI I lived in Kalamazoo 2001-2006 before moving to Los Angeles. Big plans in the works to get out of there.
Yes, used mine during a BC trip this fall. Outstanding bag, kept me very warm and packed incredibly small. I say go for it !
Love the game bags
