Anyone do a side by side yet? Pros & Cons?

I doubt anybody on here has. This is the only video I've seen.

I just purchased the Garmin. It is amazingly simple to use. I am extremely pleased with mine

Thanks for posting. Kinda odd to see him shooting left handed rifles right handed.

Our resident gunwriter is semi-retired, so maybe this one could suffice.

I may have missed it but the dude in the video's highest praise for the new LR is how good/significant it felt in his hands?

Pretty much the gist of it.

Ironic isn't it, liking one because it is bigger and heavier.
Kinda funny actually

Probably because it feels more significant, like it's worth all the $$ they cost. My Garman is light as a feather.

Yeah, along with the fact that a 40mph wind may blow the Garmin over.
I live in the windiest place in North America. Literally. If the wind blows over the Garmin it will blow over the LR.
I have had one question regarding the new Garmin with regards to wind. I own a Garmin Xero S1 Trapshooting trainer and have found that wind can cause background folage to move around causing the Garmin to get confused.

Does their new chronograph have an issue with wind?
No
Supporting Leftist Canada vs. American ally Taiwan is a reason to buy a larger and heavier chrono that performs equally well? Is this some kind of joke or is the guy getting financial support from Labradar?

I haven’t bought a new chrono and still use my 35P. But when I buy a new one it’ll be the smallest and lightest reliable unit I can fit in my range bag, as long as the battery life is enough to last for 3-4 hours of shooting. Based on everything I’ve seen and read so far the Garmin seems to be the right choice.

Yeah, it was more like one of those unboxing YouTube videos. The guy didn’t bother to note the new features of the Xero or LRLX.

As Rickbin noted in his Shotshow post a while back, the Canadian built LRLX data is “solely yours” while the Taiwan built Xero’s data can be accessed by a third party.

I guess whenever a guy turns on his Garmin he should say “hi” to the Chinese….

If that is a concern then don't use the phone app.

The CCP is going to have a difficult time accessing the notepad where my Garmin velocity data is stored.

I don’t.
My notebooks store more info anyway….,.

OMG, the horror of a bunch of 3 and 4 digit velocity numbers potentially being accessed on the interwebs. Some real state secrets there…

Pretty sure the mobile phone is leaking more info than the Garmin ever will.

Would anybody here happen to know which one might be better for just handgun, 25 yards?
I just shot my pellet gun in the back yard over the Garmin and it picked every one of the 7 shots. Very impressive. I have used it a grand total of 3 times now with everything from pellet rifle to 223, 30-06, 30-30, 9mm, 40, 45, and it has not missed a shot yet! Yep pricey but the damn thing works great.
I have both and I don’t use the LabRadar at all anymore. The Garmin is just to easy to use, never misses a shot, and setup is easier too. It’s just the easy button.

You have a LabRadar LX?

ETA- if you do, can you confirm that shots can be added to previous strings?

Don’t you do that when you turn on your smart TV ? 😁
I have been really enjoying my Garmin. My buddy who has a LabRadar (original) bought the Garmin since he is a techno freak.

He brought it to the range ladt week but forgot the little tripod it comes with. He just took the Garmin and sat it on a plastic ammo box and went to shooting. I thought it was amusing!
