Just figured out my New Haven LH model 70 has this. I had almost 200 new cases and it wasn't apparent till the second loading so I was slow on the uptake.

Has anyone sent theirs back to Browning and been pleased with the results? Looks like it will take a new barrel to fix as the bulge is too far up to just re-chamber. Shoots ok 1-1&1/2" but I haven't really wrung it out and finished fine tuning.
Once fired cases won't chamber.

Didn't want to ship it only to have it come back the same and end up buying a new barrel.
I have read that the out of round M70 WSM chambers are due to Win. over tightening the barrels to the actions.

It would seem that Win. should fix it.
Greydog on this site explored this, and explained it, a few years back. Do a search on his old posts with the word round or such and you will find what you are looking for. Hope this helps.
If it groups good, then i wouldn't worry about it. Forget Win and send it to PacNor and let them barrel it for you with their Match SS Barrel with the same contour as your factory. If you can't afford or just want it factory then hunt with it.
Thanks for the input. Thinking I'll send it to the repair shop and see what happens as I am not ready for the re-barrel option. That is in the works as soon as funds will allow, who knows I may get lucky with a factory barrel. In my limited experience the Browning barrels are pretty good but not sure which are from Miroku and which are home grown.

The other option is a 25WSM as I have a barrel ready to go but I was just starting to like the .270.
