Midway is out. Suggestions for alternate source? I fear a death-knell for this cartridge with the current political climate/manufacturing devotion to more popular stuff.

Background: friend since teens (I'm 57 now) GAVE me a first (despised) year 1964 Model 70: perfect shape.

Wanna get her up and running as she should be. Have Handloader and Rifle articles (3 of them, and Waters' Pet Loads). Any other tricks and trinkets and treatises on this cartridge greatly appreciated.

I am NOT a rifle looney. I am on the road to recovery by continually sticking needles in my arm such as .225 Winchesters. I refuse to admit my failures and decrepitude. Therefore, I percieve what I am doing as healthy. I do not want to get well.

Update: Graf and Son does not even list it. Huntington (my "ace in the hole" for the weird stuff that attracts me is "out of stock").
Looks like Sinclair has some:

My '65 made M70 love 50gr TNT's with IMR4064. Great cartridge. Have fun!
How much are you looking for? I just bought some from a guy 100 new rounds for $45 shipped.

If your interested let me know and I'll look for his contact info.
Sinclair is out of stock, southtexas, but thanks.

Claybirds: Yes, please! I'd like to get 300 rds.
Try SSK. When I set up my 6.5 JDJ, they had it on hand.

Pete

Thanks, Pete. In my explorations, I rediscovered that the JDJ rounds were based on the .225.

I've managed to locate one guy with 98 rds and another with a bag of 100. So far, so good. Outfit in Ontario Canada has some as well, but the price and shipping are deal-breakers I think.
Just sold 410 rounds of new brass. I have 45 rounds of loaded ammo and several rounds of once fired brass.
