I shot a good big whitetail buck this morning before church. About 125 yards or so.

standard 243
85 grain Hornady Interbond
44 grains RL-17 in Nosler brass, WLR primers

broadside entry just behind shoulder, angled slightly back to exit out ribs

small entrance, rather small exit, no blood trail with about 75 yard death dash

sliced up lungs pretty good, but not mush
blew the heart in half though

Sounds like good performance to me.
I've had trouble getting IB's to group, including your 85 gr. .243 IB in the .240 Wby.

Typical 243 performance with most Bullets designed for Big Game in the 6 mm
sounds almost exactly like the ones I shoot with the .250 savage and 100 g c&c's.

I agree, I did not get great groups. Without much fiddling at all I got about 1 1/4" 3-shot groups. I tried a couple different seating depths and that did not change much, so I just went hunting with the load that had the most powder.

For the most part, except that it has a much higher BC for longer shots, and it should hold together for much deeper penetration on tough shots. It should outperform C+C in those scenarios.
