Do not just limit your self to Colorado,Karl at kampfeldcustom.com has coated 4 or 5 rifles for me and built 3 more. All of his work is OUTSTANDING AND HE IS 1 OF THE MOST HONEST NICEST PEOPLE YOU WOULD EVER WANT TO DEAL WITH.Check out his webb site.CERAKOTE is much better than duracote.
Its probably worth the shipping to get it over there. Some guys on here using cerracoat with good success. Can't think of a Colorado shop for either option though for you. Box it up.
Hi dtspoke, I am in Parker. I am a certified Duracoat finisher, and I also do Cerakote. Depending on the application, I recommend both. Shoot me an email or text. I'll answer my phone too if I can. Try David Sullivan, Westwind Rifles in Erie, CO. 303-828-3823. I've known Sully for many years. Good guy, honest, straight forward. Will give recommendations and options when asked, but not hard sell anything.
Try John Brandstatter in Pueblo West 719-251-8951 He does cerakote not durakote but I am sure you will like the end product. Here is a floorplate he did for me to match a paint job on an Edge. I'll get pics of a complete rifle as soon as I can get to them.
I've used Kampfield and Rocky Mountain Arms. My buddy has sent a bunch of projects to the Colorado School of Trades gunsmithing school and had good results too.
