Are there any plans to commercialize the 6.5 Creedmoor to the 6mm Creedmoor, much like many other cartridges have been necked up and down?

Any thoughts?

Yes, potentially.

Get in touch with Pat here, or GAP.

I am waiting for 6x47 Lapua brass. I simply prefer the x47L brass to the Creedmore option. I think its just being [bleep], but I like em. A fast twist 6x47 Lapua for the 105 AMax is in my future...

Sorry for the mostly irrelevant rambling...

But yes, I see the 6 Creedmore being legitimized in the future. It wouldn't do much more than a 243, except the nice shoulder angle. But it will be new and cool and will sell well as a commercial round.

I have a 6mm Rem that is starting to get tired. What's the diff between the 6x47lap and a 6mm creedmoor. Then again, may re barrel to the existing 6mm Rem...ah the choices one has when they're not in any hurry.

Nice rifle too P760.

you also might want to look at a 6/250 AI, it is a power house, and use Lapua 22/250 brass. I shot the barrel out of two of these on dog towns. The 6/250 AI feeds through a Rem 700 with no issues.

Very generally, the brass. 6x47 uses Lapua with small rifle primers and 6CM used Hornady with large.

GAP already offers 6mm CM brass.

MAybe Winchester could come out with it and call it the 243 Winchester!

I'm thinking a .22 Creedmoor should be VERY successful.

Reelman, you might be right...but will the 243win in a short action handle the long 115 grain bullets as well as the creedmoor case?

I have both the 6mmRem and the 243win, sometimes variety is the spice of life ;-)

Wouldn't a 22 Creedmoor pretty much be a 22-250 AI?
Not saying a commercial version would be a bad thing at all though
