This morning the local paper said sunrise was at 7:57. Let's all hoist a toast to his special day!
Praise Jesus! laugh
I think we should make this "National 7x57 Appreciation Day".

I'll have a drink to that!
Call me when sunset is at 4:44
It's .500 somewhere.
2:70 is problematic...

I'm still working on a 6.8x57, however
Well,

if I lived in a more rural area, perhaps a salute with my 6.5 x 55 would suffice as I have no 7 x 57 and it is at least a metric and "ancient" cartridge.

Happy 7 x57 day everyone

Geno

PS, true loonyism would seem to dictate that every year when the sun rises at 07:57 we should all run to the computer or LGS and purchase a new rifle, or at a minimum, 7mm reloading components, no?

Works for me!
I plan to have some Tumbleweed India Pale Ale later on, but since IPA was originally a British brew, should probably toast the .275 Rigby as well.
+1. I think I'll have a G&T in honor of Ingwe and the day...and in memory of Corbett and Bell, the former of which was a teetotaler (Corbett, not Ingwe) so I'll have to drink his too.

Oh, that cartridge!

I was wondering how .45-70 fit into the scheme of things in regards to clocks.....
October 30th is my favourite. Now, that's a day! smile

And on a related note, let's hear it for that famous German singing group, Peter, Paul and Mauser.
Happy 7x57 day
A happy day.. We will celebrate also..

I really like my CLR/NULA in 7x57, and by the way, I DID just have a drink to that. crazy

Ingwe/Tom,

I find that Rebecca Creek has run dry at my house. cry

So I lifted a wee dram of single malt to you and our favorite cartridge.

I just poured myself a cold one and am about to lint it to the day named in my honor ( kind of....) whistle
Have already "linted" my second IPA in honor of the .275 Rigby....

I was going to let that one go. I figured he'd already "linted" a few. crazy
Happens to all of us who lint one now and then!
Icy Bay IPA in the fridge here, at the moment. Cheers guys!

Jeff
Tough crowd for a spelling nazi to screw up in front of.....
My son's first critter with the Walther 7x57. Cheers.

7:02 here, maybe when it gets to 7:08 there can be another celebration?
I got a head start on the 7:57 crowd at 7:08! Cheers!
I don't think Ingwe is going to like you calling him ancient even though you named a day in his honor.

I guess we'll never get to 9:62 for Mule Dear (or me) smile
Anyone else thinking that residents of Alaska, Sweden and Finland get to celebrate a wider range of cartridges than most?
Tom,

If I only had a dime for every typographic error my fingers have typed over the years, I wouldn't have to make any other "investments"....
I seem to be making more and more of every kind of little mistake these days.... frown
A glass of the Irish whiskey raised in salutations to the mighty Ingwe and his 7:57....

I can't participate. Sunrise is NEVER -- 7:57 -- in 'civilization'. smile smile

Thankfully

Jerry
Yep its a good day, my current and only 7 x 57 has been in my care since I bought it in 1975- I may take that one to my grave! And as a side note- I been here now for 15 years! How time flies by! I still shoot the same load I shot back in 75 too, 50 gr of IMR-4350 in a Winchester Western Case, Federal 210 primer and a 140 gr Nosler Partition! Except for the time when Partitions were hard to come by , I just shot the Swift A Frame version!
Ingwe,

Don't know why but for some reason I found 7:57 to be very intriguing.

Oh, and happy birthday!

Steve
Just to participate, I'm gonna' chug down 757 beers.
Is March 3 (.303) still a national holiday on Canada?
I'm surprised no coyote hunter has mentioned toasting February 22nd, 1950.
grin
Heck, MD, I've been celebrating since 2:22
More?

I'm sure you lifted that glass at exactly 7:57 PM. Right? whistle wink

Even Moses recognized the superiority of the 7:57. From the book of Numbers 7:57

“One young bullock, one ram, one lamb of the first year, for a burnt offering:” presumably with one shot.

And that was before they had Nosler Partitions!

That was a couple weeks ago, finally sunrise is 7:57 here in Cold Lake, Ab
Can we/I stop toasting the leopard loincloth ?
I made an appropriate Ingwe toast, I had a spoonful of Metamucil at 7:57!

This cartridge of which you speak, is it a wildcat? Some magical mystery round?

I'll be happier when SUNSET is 7x57.
Does 3:10 this afternoon count? With the Ingwe Special, no less?

3:10 only counts if your headed to Yuma.
Good point. She wasn't going anyplace other than the freezer.
