I need an easy to meter ball powder to replace Ramshot Hunter in .270 Win. 130 gr loads and .338 Win Mag 250 gr loads.

Are there an candidates for this niche while we wait for Hunter to return to the market?
Same answer as for your question about Big Game.
Thanks John,

I'll hunt it down. Truly good news.
Powder Valley has 8 lb. jugs of Ramshot Hunter in stock.
They have Big Game in 1-lb cans now too.
FWIW, I saw 1 pounders of Hunter, Big Game and Magnum at SW yesterday.

I'm not in DennisinAZ's camp though -- they can jump in the lake. I done moved on.
Typo alert -- meant to say I AM in Dennis' camp. No more Ramshot, which is too bad, cuz it was good.
So you're blaming them for a factory fire?

P
Western had a fire?
Ramshot fell victim to the perfect storm. A smallish factory, a factory fire, a large NATO contract to fulfill first, and the Obama buying frenzy all together overwhelmed them for a good while. Fortunately for me I did not rum completely out of any Ramshot powder, but I came close on Magnum and Big Game.

The factory in Belgium that produces the Ramshot line had a fire.
My apologies to them. I withdraw the statement.
There is nothing even remotely close, nothing...

I called and let them know.

They said no worries.

I'm still working my way through 48 lbs of Data Powder 85, will have to look for some Hunter when that runs out. Couple more 25-06 tubes should get it done.
Finally got re-stocked on the Hunter. Good times.

Are you serious?

Glad to hear it, because I loved Magnum. And Tac.

P
Well, that didn't work.

Intended to quote Pharmseller and ask if he was serious?

I did love Magnum. Tac as well.
Need to stop posting, obviously!

Yes, serious.

I was using 58 gr of Hunter with 180 gr bullets in .30-06. After looking at what other folks are using for 180's in the '06, I tried 57 gr of H4350 and got accuracy and velocity similar to the Hunter loads.
